Our room, off of the main building, in an adjacent cottage, is cute and quaint. It has the feeling of being at a friend's house rather than a hotel. The chef (and partner) Mark Salter is quite good. We chose the fall salad, perfectly balanced and seasoned (not too much dressing) and the crab soup to start. It is a rather thick soup so an entire bowl rather than a cup might spoil your appetite for the remainder of the meal. Then we chose the chef's signature dishes, the chicken and the crab cake. Both delicious and well accompanied with seasonal vegetables. We ended with again the chef's signature dessert, the toffee pudding - a must!
We always enjoy our breakfasts there. I do wish however that you had turkey bacon or sausage. I'm allergic to mammal meat. Thank you. Anna Larkin
Gorgeous old inn along the water. The food isn't cheap, but it's not overly expensive either. Try the sticky toffee pudding - it's delicious!
The inn and tavern staff were very nice. I'd ordered food to go and they pleasantly helped me. I didn't get one thing I ordered, but they reassured me they'd refund me for the item. I believe it was just a mistake.
The best Rueben we've ever had! Comfortable seating, fast friendly service and awesome cream of Maryland crab soup. Just outstanding.
